Dhaka District Administration has stockpiled sufficient relief materials to ensure no flood-affected family goes without assistance, strictly following directives from the Prime Minister.
While distributing aid to displaced residents sheltered at Dhamalkot High School in the capital's Bhashantek area on Monday, Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanom confirmed that round-the-clock monitoring is underway to manage the crisis.
"We have instructed all relevant departments to work in lockstep," DC Khanom stated.
"Our priority is to guarantee that food, clean drinking water, medical care, proper sanitation, and baby food are readily available at all shelter centers."
Reassuring the public that immediate action will be taken if any area reports a shortage of supplies, Khanom also called on the public and private sectors to pitch in. "Government efforts alone are not enough. Affluent citizens, voluntary organizations, and institutions must come forward.
Alleviating the suffering of our flood-affected citizens requires a collective, unified response," she added.
