Agri Technology Fair inaugurated in Kalapara

The Agricultural Technology Fair has started in Kalapara of Patuakhali with a colourful procession and discussion meeting with the theme 'Irresistible Bangladesh's progress will bring new dimensions in agricultural technology'.

Patuakhali Agriculture Extension Directorate Additional Deputy Director HM Shamim inaugurated the fair as the chief guest at Kalapara Upazila Parishad premises on Thursday at 11 am.
Kalapara Upazila Agricultural Officer Agriculturist Md. Arafat Hossain presided over the discussion meeting, Kalapara Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Apu Saha, Kalapara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Jewel Islam, convener of Kalapara Press Club. Humayun Kabir was present at the function as a special guest.
Under the agricultural development project organized by the Kalapara upazila administration and the agriculture department, the farmers presented various exhibitions of agricultural cultivation using advanced technology in this agricultural technology fair. Sultan Gazi, a successful farmer, presented his experience in farming with advanced technology in the fair.
Later, seeds and fertilizers of 11 types of crops were provided to 6,200 farmers affected by cyclones and natural calamities.
