Abdul Awal Mintoo, Vice Chairman of BNP’s National Executive Committee and Barishal Divisional leader, said, “There’s no point comparing us with other parties. They have to search for candidates, while we have to select from qualified ones. BNP chooses its candidates from the competent.”
He made these remarks on Saturday while responding to journalists’ questions during the launch of BNP’s member form distribution and membership renewal program at Ashwini Kumar Hall on Sadar Road in Barishal city.
Mintoo further said , “BNP is a large party. There’s no conflict in this party, only competition. It’s natural for a democratic party to have more competition. The desire of the people of this country is BNP’s desire, and that is a national election.” He also mentioned that given the current situation, Tarik Rahman will return to the country soon.
The event was attended by leaders responsible for the member form distribution and membership renewal program across the six districts of Barisal division, along with central and local BNP leaders.
