6 villagers will be benefitted : Army builds bamboo bridge in remote area of Lakshmichhari

Army personnel from the Lakshmichari Zone under the 24th Artillery Brigade Guimara Region of the army have constructed a bamboo bridge to facilitate the movement of people from six villages in the remote hilly area of Dullatoli Union in Lakshmichari Upazila of Khagrachhari.
Locals say that about 300 people living in remote hilly areas use the road every day for various needs. Due to the limited communication system, they had to travel through a small mountain stream. Sometimes, when the flow of water in the stream increased, the locals would suffer and travel would be blocked for several days.
Especially, the students of Dullatoli High School used to face difficulties in regular commuting. The construction of a new bamboo bridge has made the movement of local residents including students easier.
This bridge, built under the leadership of Major Nahian at the initiative of the Dullatoli Army Camp of the 22nd Field Regiment Artillery Laxmichari Zone, has now made communication between the people of the six neighborhoods easier. In addition, even during the monsoon season, farmers are able to take their produce to the market for sale on time. It can be said that the picture of the 6 remote villages has changed in a single step. It has brought some relief to the daily lives of the common people.
Lakshmichari Zone Commander Lt. Col. Khan Sajibul Islam said that such activities of the army will continue for the welfare of the neglected people of the remote hills.
