4-day rail blockade in Burimari: Passengers suffering

For the past four days, local trains between Lalmonirhat and Burimari have been halted due to a peaceful protest.
Locals are demanding the launch of the "Burimari Express," a direct train to Dhaka. Despite promises, railway authorities have not started the service, even though Burimari station is ready.
The blockade has severely affected daily passengers, especially those traveling to Dhaka and Rangpur. Many now spend extra money on buses or rickshaws to reach nearby stations. Women, children, and daily laborers face the most difficulties.
Local leaders and railway officials have discussed the issue, but no solution has been announced yet. Protesters say they will continue the blockade until their demand is met. The community hopes for urgent action from authorities to resolve the crisis.
