26 arrested in Rajshahi city including two in special operation on various charges

A total of 26 individuals have been arrested in Rajshahi metropolis, including 2 in a special operation conducted by the police stations and Detective Branch (DB) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP).
In the past 24 hours ending Wednesday , two individuals were arrested in connection with an attack on an anti-discrimination student movement, causing explosions, terrorist activities, and other criminal charges during special drives across various parts of the city. In addition, 24 others were arrested by RMP, including 10 with warrants, 3 in drug-related cases, and 11 for other offenses.
The individuals arrested in the special operation are Mohammad Sifat (26) and Tawhid Titumir alias Sheikh Mohammad Tawhid (20). Sifat is the son of Md. Selim Sheikh from Saheb Bazar Boro Kuthipara under Boalia Model Police Station in Rajshahi metropolis. He is a former joint convener of the Rajshahi City College Chhatra League. Chhatra League activist Titumir is the son of Md. Mamun from Hetem Kha area of the same police station.
Legal action has been taken against the arrested individuals.
