A poetry reading program 'Barsha Padabali' was held by the Bogura Writers' Circle. Kalam Azad, a member of the Bangladesh Journalists' Welfare Trust and General Secretary of the Bogra Press Club, was the chief guest at the Barsha Padabali held at the city's Max Motel on Friday evening.

The event was presided over by the organization's advisor poet and essayist Professor Muhammad Shahidullah. The event was attended by the organization's advisor and president of Bogra Youth Choir Atiqur Rahman Mithu, the northern bureau chief of Dainik Inqilab Mohsin Ali Raju, and the director of Gabtoli Village and Social Development Organization Md. Tajul Islam Liton. The organization's public relations secretary poet Anonya Russell delivered the welcome speech and the event was moderated by the president poet Islam Rafiq and member poet Sikta Kajal.

Poetry written in the style of Barsha was recited by Muhammad Shahidullah, Mohsin Ali Raju, Islam Rafiq, Habibullah Jewel, Kamruzzaman Masum, Emran Kabir, Karim Mohammad, Sikta Kajal, Mahabub Tutul, Sarmin Seema, Munsur Rahman Tansen, Sanjay Chakraborty, Biswajit Das, Shahanur Shahin, Pratat Siddique, Abu Raihan, Jewel Hasan, Mir Enamul Haque, Anonya Russell, Abdul Alim, Shuvra Saha, Belal Sarkar, Hasi Khatun, Souparno Masum, Shakibul Shakil, Momin Shawon, Suman Mohanty, Rajib Zaman and Ishtiaq Ahmed Swapan.

Before the poetry recitation, the poets were welcomed with sticks of Rajnigandha by the chief guest Kalam Azad and the president Professor Muhammad Shahidullah. At the end of the program, the poets were entertained with khichuri and fried eggs.
