"World pneumonia Day, Prematurity Day observed in Kishoreganj

The World Pneumonia Day-2024 and World Prematurity Day was observed in Kishoreganj on Wednesday as elsewhere in the country and across the globe to create awareness and educate people to combat Pneumonia disease.
World Pneumonia Day is a global event observed every year on 12 November to create awareness and educate people to combat Pneumonia disease, world's biggest infectious killer of adults and children and responsible for the majority of death of children below five around the world.
This year 's theme is lets Becoming Active Partners in the fight to End Pneumonia. Civil Surgeon Office arranged a rally, discussion and awareness seminar marking the day. After the rally, a discussion held at Civil Surgeon's conference room, while Civil Surgeon (CS) dr.Saiful Islam in the chair.
Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital (SSNIMCH) Director dr. Md. Helaluddin as chief guest.
It was addressed among others, Superintendent (Acting) of Kishoreganj General Hospital dr.Noor Shamsul Alam,Deputy Director (DD) of Islamic Foundation Md. Mohashin, Deputy Civil Surgeon (DCS) dr. Dirarul, General Hospital RMO dr. Maksudur Rahman, Assistant Director (AD) of Family Planing dr. Hosne Ara , Sr.Medical Officer dr.Shahariya Chowdhury , among others, spoke on the occasion.
