A discussion meeting of the Ramchandrapur Rural Health Center Revitalization Committee was held on Monday at the 6 No. Ramchandrapur Union Parishad under Gaibandha Sadar Upazila. The meeting was presided over by Alhaj Abdul Mannan Sarkar.
Among others present were Advisor Md. Musabbir Hossain, Chairman of 6 No. Ramchandrapur Union Parishad, Dr. Md. Abu Sayeed, the current medical officer of the hospital, General Secretary Md. Abdur Rauf Sarkar, and other committee members.
According to the meeting agenda, the General Secretary informed that since Dr. Abu Sayeed joined the hospital, the quality of medical services has significantly improved, leading to an increase in the number of patients. As a result, it has become difficult for a single doctor to provide adequate care. Therefore, the committee unanimously decided to request the Civil Surgeon to urgently appoint an additional male or female doctor.
In the second agenda, the Secretary urged the local residents to refrain from dumping garbage, drying cow dung, or letting cattle graze within the hospital premises to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
In the third agenda, the Secretary mentioned that due to insufficient allocation of medicines, it is not possible to meet patients' demand. The meeting decided to appeal to the Civil Surgeon to increase the medicine supply for the hospital.
