Chhatra Dal leader Anwar Hossain Manju held a press conference to protest the formation of a new college committee of Chhatra Dal with activists of Rangamati and Chhatra League.
The press conference was held at a restaurant at Mainimukh Bazar at the Longadu College Chhatra Dal on Monday at 9am.
Speakers at the conference said, "The committee formed by the representatives of the Chhatra League and the Chhatra League is against the constitution of the Chhatra Dal and thereby the actual student leaders have been excluded." They canceled the committee and demanded the election of new and qualified leadership.
The leaders of the Chhatra Dal also said, "We want the student leaders to be selected through a free and fair process, where the views of all ordinary students will be reflectedThey attracted the attention of the authorities through a press conference and called for quick action.
