An awareness seminar on preventing milk adulteration and ensuring the production of safe dairy products was held in Satkhira. The event was organized by the Satkhira District Administration and the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA), Satkhira. It took place on Monday at the Conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.
The seminar was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bishnupad Pal. Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mostak Ahmed was present as the chief guest. Additional Superintendent of Police Mithun Sarkar and Satkhira District Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Vice Principal Shahidul Islam Mukul, attended as special guests.
The keynote paper of the seminar was presented by Dipankar Dutta, Food Safety Officer of BFSA Satkhira. Among others present were District Information Officer Jaharul Islam Tutul, Naib-e-Ameer of Satkhira City Jamaat and former councilor Lavlu, Medical Officer of the Civil Surgeon’s Office Dr. Jayanta Kumar, and Arafat Hossain, Convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Satkhira District.
Also attending were food safety inspectors, representatives of dairy processing institutions, local businessmen, and farmers.
