More than 500 students from the Boisommo Birodhi Chhatro Andolon have joined the Chhatra Dal in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat.
The joining ceremony took place on Monday at the upazila auditorium, where BNP National Executive Committee member and Lalmonirhat-1 MP candidate Barrister Hasan Rajib Prodhan welcomed the new members with flowers.
Movement leader Abir Ahmed said the students joined Chhatra Dal to follow the ideals of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman and strengthen the hands of Begum Khaleda Zia. Upazila Chhatra Dal member-secretary Abdullah Al Noman said they will work together to protect students’ rights.
Barrister Hasan Rajib Prodhan praised Chhatra Dal’s role in facing national crises and supporting student welfare. several BNP and Chhatra Dal leaders were also present.
