
Iti got admission to DU Finnace Department with assistance of M'bazar SP, district admin

Iti Gaur, a talented student from the Baromchal Tea Estate in Kulaura Upazila, Moulvibazar, has got admission to the Finance Department at Dhaka University. This is the first time a student from this tea estate has gained admission to a public university.
Upon learning of this achievement, the district administration promptly took steps to provide assistance.
At the DC office, Iti Gaur was presented with a cheque of Tk 20,000 as financial support from the district administration for her admission to Dhaka University.
Besides, in recognition of this remarkable achievement, the Moulvibazar District Police also honoured her with a felicitation and a financial award. At noon, District Police Superintendent M K H Jahangir Hossain, PPM-(Service) invited Iti to the Police Superintendent’s office, extended his congratulations, offered sweets, and presented her with a financial award on behalf of the district police.
The Police Superintendent said , “Studying at Dhaka University is a dream for many in Bangladesh, but only the hardworking and talented can turn that dream into reality. Iti’s success through her talent and perseverance, despite the limited opportunities in the tea estate, is truly commendable.”
He further added, “On behalf of the district police, we have arranged a small financial award to acknowledge her success. We hope Iti Gaur will achieve success both nationally and internationally, bringing pride to Moulvibazar. I wish for other children from the tea estates to follow in Iti Gaur’s footsteps.”
Iti’s father, Shankar Gaur, expressed his gratitude to the district police for this honor and support and sought everyone’s blessings for his daughter’s future
