World Heart Day observed in Faridpur with rally, discussion

World Heart Day was observed in Faridpur on Tuesday with calls to emphasize routine exercise and cardiovascular care to maintain health.
Marking the occasion, a rally organized by the Faridpur Heart Foundation was brought out in the morning. The procession paraded through main city thoroughfares before terminating at the Faridpur Diabetic Association Medical College campus.
Following the rally, a discussion meeting was held at the college auditorium under the chairmanship of Faridpur Heart Foundation President Dr. Mofizur Rahman Shamim.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sushmita Saha, Additional Superintendent of Police Raihan Gafur, Faridpur Heart Foundation General Secretary Professor M. A. Samad, former Faridpur Diabetic Association General Secretary Professor Sheikh Abdus Samad, Principal of Faridpur Diabetic Medical College Dr. Md. Jahirul Islam, Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Faridpur General Secretary Dr. Ali Akbar Haldar, Faridpur Heart Foundation Joint Secretary Mofiz Imam Milon, and former Yashore Education Board Chairman and Editor of Daily Fatehabad Professor A. B. M. Sattar attended as guests.
