 A meeting of all levels of government officials and employees was held in Meherpur at the initiative of the district administration in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Monday noon.

Deputy Commissioner Shilpi Rani Roy presided over the meeting, and Adv Shawkat Ara Akhtar, Member of Parliament for the reserved women's seat of Meherpur, was present as the chief guest.

SP Uzzal Kumar Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Tariqul Islam, Major Asrar, District Council Administrator Javed Masud Milton, Civil Surgeon Dr. Abu Sayeed, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department SM Rafiqul Islam, Principal of Government College Professor Dr. Nazrul Kabir, Vice Principal of Govt Women's College Professor Muh. Abdullah Al Amin, Dr. Alok Kumar Das, PP Saidur Razzak, Deputy Director of Women's Affairs Department Nasima Khatun, District Primary Education Officer Sukumar Mitra, District Livestock Officer Tofazzal Hossain, Engineer of Roads and Highways Department Mizanur Rahman, District Sports Officer Arif Ahmed and Gurudas Halder. In addition, officials of various government departments including Sanjeev Pal, convener of the Puja Celebration Committee, were present.

As chief guest, Advocate Shawkat Ara Akhtar said, "The face of a state is its government officials and employees. You have come to this stage today after gaining long experience and skills. I do not have the skills that you have in your work field. My skills are in the political field."
