On the occasion of the Great Victory Day -2024, wreaths were laid under the banner of Jaintapur Upazila Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its affiliated organizations.

On Monday at 7 am, senior BNP leaders and leaders of various units of affiliated organizations at the upazila and union levels participated in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Shaheed Bedi of the Bijoystambh located at the bus stand of Jaintapur Upazila Sadar.

At this time, BNP leaders and activists, led by Abdul Hafiz, General Secretary of Jaintapur Upazila BNP, paid tribute by placing flowers at the Shaheed Bedi.

Later, leaders and activists of Jubo Dal, Sechchhasebak Dal, Krishak Dal, Shramik Dal and Chhatra Dal paid their respects by placing flowers at the martyrs' altar under separate banners. Also present at the time of paying their respects were Upazila BNP Vice President Abdus Shukkur, Organizing Secretary and Chairman of Nijpat Union Parishad Intaz Ali, Former Vice Secretary Masuk Ahmed, Publicity and Publication Secretary Aminul Islam Sohel, Liberation War Affairs Secretary Harun Sarkar, Former Sechchhasebak Dal President Altaf Hossain Belal, and Nijpat Union BNP General Secretary Humayun Kabir Khan. In addition, Jaintapur Upazila Chhatra Dal convener Badrul Alam Shaon and member secretary Shaheen Alam led Jaintapur Upazila and Chhatra Dal leaders and activists from various unions and wards and various college branches placed wreaths at the Shaheed Bedi.

At that time, on the occasion of the great Victory Day, BNP General Secretary Abdul Hafiz, in a brief speech addressed to the leaders of Jaintapur Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations, said, "I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of all the brave freedom fighters and martyrs in the great liberation war." Along with highlighting the contribution of the great liberation war of the independence proclaimer, martyr President Ziaur Rahman, I pray for the forgiveness of his soul and the recovery of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia." Along with this, he called on the leaders of all units of Jaintapur Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations to work together in unity to implement the 31-point program of patriot Tarique Rahman, while seeking forgiveness for all the martyrs of the July Movement.

Jaintapur Upazila Admin lays wreaths at Shaheed Smriti Bedi on Victory Day :

On the occasion of the Victory Day , Jaintapur Upazila Administration placed wreaths at the Victory Pillar Memorial Altar adjacent to the Jaintapur Upazila Bus Stand.

At this time, along with the Upazila Administration, the Muktijoddha Sangsad Command, Jaintapur Model Police Station, Ansar and VDP, Fire Service Civil Defense, Upazila Health Complex, Residential Engineer's Office, Palli Bidyut Samity-2, Jaintapur Bazar Businessmen's Association and other professional organizations placed wreaths at the memorial altar.

On Monday, the Victory Day ceremonies began with 31 gunshots at sunrise. Later, Jaintapur Upazila Executive Officer Umme Salik Rumaiya placed wreaths at the Shaheed Smriti Bedi on behalf of the Jaintapur Upazila Parishad and the administration.

On the occasion of the great Victory Day in Gowainghat, a huge rally and discussion meeting was held in the presence of more than a hundred Jubo Dal leaders and activists under the leadership of District Jubo Dal Co-Organizing Secretary Jubo Dal leader Md. Abul Kashem. On the occasion of the day, leaders and activists of BNP's affiliate organizations and associate organizations of Gowainghat Upazila paid their respects to all the martyrs and organized various programs and garlands after placing wreaths at the Shaheed Minar.

On Monday (December 16th) morning, senior BNP leaders, organi- zations and associate organizations of the upazila and union level participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Shaheed Bedi in Gowainghat Upazila with a huge rally. At this time, the leaders and activists of the Upazila Jubo Dal, led by the Co-Organizing Secretary of the District Jubo Dal, Md. Abul Kashem, paid tribute by placing flowers at the Shaheed Bedi. Later, the leaders and activists of the Jubo Dal, Sechchhasebak Dal, Krishak Dal, Shramik Dal and Chhatra Dal paid tribute by placing flowers at the Shaheed Bedi under separate banners.
