Tarique chairs first cabinet meeting at PMO

The cabinet is holding its first meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon.
The meeting began on Saturday afternoon, according to Atiqur Rahman Ruman, prime minister's additional press secretary.
“The prime minister is attending office at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon for the first time. He is now in a cabinet meeting,” Ruman said.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held his government’s first cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday. Saturday’s session marks the second meeting of the new cabinet.
Earlier in the day, the prime minister arrived at the Tejgaon office for the first time. He planted a sapling in the garden and unveiled a commemorative postage stamp marking Language Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day.
Tarique was sworn in as prime minister on Feb 17 and worked from the Secretariat for two days following his oath.
