Syed Golam Rahman Bababhandari 89th Urs begins

The 89th holy Urs Sharif of Shah Sufi Maulana Syed Gholamur Rahman Prakash Baba Bhandari (R.), one of the spiritual leaders of Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif, the spiritual center of the subcontinent, began on Thursday ( April 3).
The final prayer will be held on Saturday, 22nd Chaitra. Baba Bhandari's Rawja has been decorated with beautiful lights on the occasion of Urs Sharif held at Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif.
In addition, various manzils including the various rouzas of Darbar Sharif were decorated with lights. Extensive programs have been taken up by various organizations and various manzils, including Anjuman-e-Rahmania Moiniya Maizbhandaria, focusing on the holy shrine.
The program includes Khatme Quran, Khatme Gaushia Sharif, distribution of new gilaps at Gausul Azam Bababhandari (A:) Rawja, free medical camp, blood group determination, camping for public awareness against dowry, drugs, and bad culture, waz, milad, chema-qawali, and tabrook distribution.
It is learnt that this year, even though Urs Sharif falls after Eid, at least 10/12 lakh devotees are expected to attend the Ashkan. Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Saifuddin Ahmed Maizbhandari (M.A.) will lead the Friday prayers and the main prayer of Urs Sharif in the presence of devotees on Friday and the last day, Saturday night, will conduct the final prayer.
