Health and Family Welfare Centres in Jibannagar provide special services during Eid holiday

This year, various government, financial and service institutions of the country were affected by the long holiday of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest festival of the Muslim religion.
In order to ensure that the long holiday does not have any impact on the health of mothers and children in rural areas, the Director of the Family Planning Department has given instructions to provide special services on maternal and child health during the holiday.
As per the instructions of the Family Planning Department, during the long holiday of the holy Eid, special services on maternal and child health are provided from the Health and Family Welfare Centers of four unions under the Jibannagar Upazila Family Planning Department, namely Utholi (former), Banka (former), Andulbaria and Simanta.
According to the Upazila Family Planning Office, during the long holiday, the staff of the Jibannagar Upazila Family Planning Department relentlessly provide various services as per the instructions of the Family Planning Department.
Among the services provided were 29 pregnant mothers were provided with prenatal care and counseling from the Union Health and Family Welfare Center under the upazila, 38 pregnant mothers were provided with prenatal care and counseling through mobile numbers from the pregnant list stored with mobile numbers at 4 centers, 17 mothers were provided with post-natal care, 3 mothers were organized, and 24 children were provided with general health care. In addition, family planning system-based services were provided.
