PUST celebrates 4th University Day

Pirojpur University of Science and Technology (PUST) celebrated its 4th University Day on Sunday with vibrant festivities and a spirit of academic pride.The day-long celebrations began at 11 a.m. on the university campus with a series of colorful events. The inaugural ceremony featured the hoisting of the national flag, the release of balloons, and a ceremonial cake-cutting.A highlight of the day was a grand discussion session, where speakers reflected on the university's achievements, ongoing initiatives to improve academic standards, and future plans for expansion and research development.Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam attended the program as the chief guest. In his speech, he said, “This university serves as a beacon of knowledge in science and technology for the youth. We are committed to enhancing our research capabilities and ensuring internationally recognized education.”Distinguished guests included Barisal University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Suchita Sharmin, Principal of Pirojpur Women’s College Sheikh Rafiqul Islam, and Principal of Pirojpur Government Suhrawardy College Professor Panna Lala Roy.Following the discussion, a celebratory rally was held, starting from the university premises and parading through key streets of the town, adding a festive flair to the occasion.
