Press confce in Khagrachari to protest against stopping conspiracy behind tribal recognition

The Parbatya Chatta Chatra Parishad held a press conference in Khagrachari to protest against stopping conspiracy behind tribal recognition, including the cancellation of the proposal for a ‘Citizen Diversity Institute’, and the implementation of the four demands.
The press conference was held at the Khagrachhari Press Club on Saturday afternoon at the initiative of the district branch.
The written statement was read out at the conference by PCCP’s Khagrachhari District Branch President Md. Mujahidul Islam.
The organization said at the press conference, the decision to formulate the ‘Citizen Diversity Institute Ordinance 2025’ should be immediately canceled, the provision of nominating only 6 members from small ethnic groups should be canceled.and
the controversial role of the advisors should be investigated impartially and necessary measures should be taken.
Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Parbatya Chittagong Nagorik Parishad (PCNP) Engineer Abdul Majid, Joint Organizing Secretary Shahadat Hossain, General Secretary of the Khagrachhari District Branch of the Parbatya Chittagong Chhatra Parishad (PCCP) Mehedi Hasan, President of the Sadar Upazila Branch Tariqul Islam Raihan, Joint Secretary Saidul Islam and others were present.
