In separate operations conducted by Shahmakhdum Thana and DB Police of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), 345 grams of cannabis and 35 bottles of Phensedyl were recovered, and three individuals were arrested.

The individuals arrested by Shahmakhdum Thana Police are Mithu (26) and Mosa: Mozlefa Begum (30). Mithu is the son of the late Momin from the Khirshin Tikar area of Shahmakhdum Thana, Rajshahi Metropolitan, and Mozlefa Begum is the daughter of Md. Tarek from Khirshin Tikar Dakshinpara of the same thana.

The individual arrested by DB Police is Md. Minhaj Ali (20), son of Nizam Uddin from the Harupur area of Kashiadaanga Thana, Rajshahi Metropolitan.

According to sources, on June 27, 2025  afternoon, under the overall supervision of Deputy Police Commissioner Md. Mominul Karim of Shahmakhdum Crime Division, SI Md. Abdul Jalil and his team were conducting operations in the metropolitan area for drug recovery, warrant execution, and special drives. During this time, while stationed near Khirshin Tikar, they detained Mithu based on suspicion. One packet of cannabis was recovered from him, and upon interrogation, information about the location of drug dealer Mozlefa Begum was obtained.

Based on Mithu’s information, at around 5:30 PM that day, an operation was conducted in Khirshin Tikar Dakshinpara of Shahmakhdum Thana, leading to the arrest of Mozlefa Begum. During the operation, 340 grams of cannabis were seized from her possession.

On the same day, at 1:30 PM, based on confidential information, SI Md. Touhidur Islam and his DB Police team conducted an operation in the Harupur area of Kashiadaanga Thana, arresting Minhaj Ali and recovering 35 bottles of Phensedyl from his possession.

Cases have been filed against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act at Shahmakhdum and Kashiadaanga Thanas, and they have been sent to jail through the court.
