A courtyard meeting was held at the Kartikpasha Abul Hossain Memorial Pre-Cadet School ground in Dumki Upazila in support of BNP' candidate for Patuakhali-1 Constituency, Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Alhaj Altaf Hossain Chowdhury.
The presence of local leaders and activists and women supporters from different wards was noticeable in the meeting held at 10 am on Saturday. Former Dumki Upazila BNP joint convener Matiur Rahman Dipu presided over the function. Zia Parishad Central Vice Chairman Dr. Delwar Hossain was the chief guest. Upazila Muktijoddha Jatiyatabadi Dal leader Md. Aziz Sarkar, Upazila BNP former acting general secretary Md. Jasim Uddin Howlader and Upazila BNP member Md. Ibrahim Khan spoke as special guests. In addition, leaders and activists of upazila ward-level BNP, Jubo Dal, Mohila Dal and other organ and associate organizations were present.
The leaders said that the leaders and activists will work unitedly in the field to make the BNP candidate, who has been given the symbol of a sheaf of rice, win. The meeting called for strengthening public relations for the party candidate in the next election.
