The arrest and public lynching of a leader of the Jubo Sakti after he was caught red-handed consuming Yaba in a classroom at Taherpur Haji Lalmia High School in Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj has created a huge sensation in the area.

On Monday at around 9:45 pm, locals caught a man named Md. Hossain Bhuiyan (28) red-handed while he was consuming Yaba in a classroom of a school. It is alleged that he used to influence the area by introducing himself as the leader of Yubashakti, an affiliate organization of the NCP. Hossain Bhuiyan is the son of Abul Hossain of Dudhghata area.

Subhan Ahmed, a guardian member of Taherpur Haji Lalmiya High School, said that the alleged NCP leader Md. Hossain Bhuiyan had been stealing various furniture including fans, motors, batteries and other items from the school for a long time with the help of the school's night watchman. At the same time, he used to organize drug consumption sessions in the school's classrooms at night. After catching him red-handed, the locals released him with a public wash last night.

In the same incident, Apu Mia, a night watchman at the school who was the victim of a mob attack, said, "They used to steal school fans, motorcycles and other items by threatening the students who were against discrimination. They would bring Yaba at night and throw drug parties at the school to prevent me from speaking out. If I said anything, they would pressure me. I have given the school principal several times with evidence of the furniture theft, but he did not take any action out of fear. Now they are trying to frame me for these thefts."

NCP Youth Wing Senior President Tuhin Mahmud said, "Hossain Bhuiyan does not hold any position in the NCP, but we have learned that he was detained and gang-raped by local residents while consuming drugs. Organizational action will be taken against him."

Meanwhile, after the video of the incident went viral on social media, there has been a widespread backlash among the conscious community. Many have demanded a proper investigation into the allegations of drug use and theft of government resources in educational institutions and necessary legal action against those involved.

Md. Nurul Ahad, headmaster of Taherpur Haji Lalmiya High School, said, "We are ashamed of this incident in my educational institution. We have informed the school's governing body president UNO Asif Al-Zinat Sir about our night watchman Apu and outside NCP leader Hossain Bhuiyan. Legal action will be taken against these two and those involved in this incident very soon."

Sonargaon UNO  Asif Al Jinat said, the incident at Taherpur Haji Lalmia High School is very serious. The headmaster has been asked to take legal action against those involved in the theft of furniture and drug use as per the rules.
