Jamaat organizes Iftar Mahfil in honour of leaders of political parties in Pirgachha

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has organized an Iftar mahfil in honour of leaders of various political parties in Pirgachha, Rangpur on Wednesday.

A discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Jamaat office before the Iftar. Presided over by Upazila Jamaat Ameer Bazlur Rashid Mukul and moderated by Youth Jamaat President Ramzan Sheikh, Rangpur District Jamaat Ameer Professor Golam Rabbani spoke as the chief guest.

Organized by the Upazila Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Pirgachha, Iftar Mahfil was attended by former Upazila BNP President Afsar Ali, National Citizens Committee members Rafiqul Hasan and Ekramul Hossain, Koikuri Union BNP General Secretary Mansur Ali, representatives of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Shamim Hossain and Fardin Ehsan Mahim. Also present were District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Maulana Mostaq Ahmed, District Human Resources Department President Mottalib Hossain, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Mostafizur Rahman, Nayeb Amir Abul Hashem, Office Secretary Zakir Hossain, District Majlisul Mufassirin President Anwarul Islam, Workers Welfare Federation President Farukul Islam Rakhu and leaders of various political parties.

In the pre-iftar discussion, the speakers called for taking the month of fasting Ramadan as an opportunity for self-purification and making maximum efforts to achieve piety. After the discussion, District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Maulana Mostaq Ahmed led the prayers for the welfare of the country and the nation.
