Insult to Prof Yunus tarnishes national image: Rizvi
Mahbub Piyal, Faridpur
BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged on Wednesday that ousted allies are engaged in various acts of sabotage and conspiracy to destabilize the country and disrupt the elected government.
He urged the public to remain vigilant and alert against these ongoing subversions.
Rizvi made the remarks as the chief guest during a program held at Gazirtek in Charbhadrasan upazila of Faridpur at 11:00 am. The event was organized to hand over the keys to a newly constructed house, present medical assistance, and distribute sewing machines for employment to Md. Lokai Biswas on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
Addressing the gathering, Rizvi stated that conspirators aligned with the ousted administration are spinning network webs from India to destabilize the nation. He pointed out that Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus was recently subjected to a shameful insult on foreign soil, asking the audience to consider how severely such actions tarnish Bangladesh's international reputation.
Chaired by Member of Parliament for Faridpur-4 constituency Shahidul Islam Babul, the event was addressed by Member of Parliament for Faridpur-3 constituency Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf as a special guest. Faridpur District BNP Convener Syed Modarres Ali Issa and General Secretary A.K.M. Kibria Swapan, among others, also addressed the gathering.
Following the discussion, Rizvi officially handed over the house keys, medical financial assistance, and sewing machines to Md. Lokai Biswas on behalf of the Prime Minister.
