A husband and wife were injured in Madhukhali area of Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj over demanding money and looting gold ornaments. The injured in the terrorist attack are Saiful Islam and Bilkis.

Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Rupganj Upazila Health Complex. The terrorist attack took place in Madhukhali area on Friday afternoon.

The injured in the incident have filed a written complaint with Rupganj Police Station, accusing 15/16 people including Abdul Haque, Sujan, Rifat.

According to the complaint, for a pre-planned and malicious purpose, at 12 noon, an unknown person of Kishoregang, aged 15/16, found me and my husband alone on the road in front of the Madhukhali Sharafat Ali tea and grocery shop under Rupganj police station, and attacked me and my husband with various indigenous weapons, sharp ramda, chenda, chapati and sticks.

Due to his muscular strength, he slapped me and my husband with sticks and punched me indiscriminately, causing severe injuries to our bodies in various parts. Defendant Sujan, saying that he would kill my husband if he fell to the ground, hit him on the head with the sharp ramda in his hand when he moved away, but the blow missed the target and hit his left leg on the knee, causing serious cuts and bleeding.

For the same purpose, Rifat hit my husband on the head with the standing knife he had in his hand. When he tried to return the blow, he hit the big finger of my right hand and seriously injured it. He snatched the gold chain and earrings I had with me and left.

Rupganj Police Station OC Liaqat Ali said, I have received such a written complaint. Legal action will be taken according to the investigation.
