District Conference of Pragati Lekhokok Sanga held in Gaibandha

The second conference of the Gaibandha District Branch of Bangladesh Pragati Lekhokok  Sangha  was held at  Gaibandha Theater and Cultural Organization auditorium on Saturday. 
 
The conference announced to stand against  all  injustice and  communalism. 
 
The conference was inaugurated at 8am in the morning with Ghulam Kibria Pinu as chief guest. 
 
 In the inaugural address, he urged the young writers to highlight the discrimination and inconsistencies of the society in their writing. He said that the main goal of the Pragati Writers' Association is to make a positive change in society through progressive thinking and literary practice.
 
Golam Rabbani Musa, Convener of the conference preparation committee, presided over the meeting chaired by Debashish Das Debu, president of Bangladesh Pragati Writers Association District Branch. Educationist Prof Majhar-ul Mannan, veteran politician Aminul Islam Golap, sports organizer and environmental movement leader Wazur Rahman Rafale, hero freedom fighter Moinul Islam Raja, Bir freedom fighter Hosh Hosh, Gaib, Gaib, and Gaiba PressMumtaz Begum Rekha, Business-Soc on Aktar Amin Babla, CPB District General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Mukul, Writer Maruf Akter, Literature and Cultural activist Abdullah Adil Nannu, Oulul Islam Badal, Shah Alam Bablu, Mohammad Amin. Kashem Yasabi, Modacheruzzaman Milu, Kankan Sarkar, Manik Bahar. The speakers said that writers and writers need to unite to accelerate the progressive movement of the country.
 
At the end of the discussion, music and recitation were served. Mahmud Sagar Mohabbat, Chuni Islam, Ranjit Sarkar, Soma Sen, Rosina Aktar and Meghalana Duti participated in this. Cultural activist Shirin Akter conducted the event. 
 
Then, at the organizational session, Rajatakanti Barman, general secretary of the district committee of the Sangha, made his report and treasurer Pratibha Sarkar Bobby's income and expenditure accounts.
 
 Later the members participated in the free discussion.
 
In the second session of the conference, unanimously, the poet Debashish Das Debu was formed by the president and Rajatakanti Barman as general secretary.
