Coast Guard operation : 5 members of notorious 'Kibria Miaji’s Gang' held in Mohonpur, shotgun, speedboat, cash seized

In Mohonpur, Chandpur, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has detained five members of the infamous robber Kibria Miaji’s Gang, seizing one foreign-made shotgun, a speedboat, and cash during the operation.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq informed this in a press release on Tuesdsy.
According to the statement, intelligence sources revealed that for a long time, the notorious robber Kibria Miaji’s gang had been engaged in extortion, robbery, and abduction on the internal river routes near the Mohonpur launch terminal in Chandpur, threatening boat crews with firearms. Acting on this information, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday the Mohonpur Coast Guard Outpost conducted a special operation in the area.
During the raid, while the gang was in the middle of a robbery on a bulkhead vessel, Coast Guard personnel arrested five members of Kibria Miaji’s group and seized one foreign-made shotgun, 10 rounds of live ammunition, two empty cartridges, two walkie-talkies, six mobile phones, one speedboat, and cash amounting to Tk 83,000.
