Allegations of vandalism at home of AL leader in Goalando

A complaint has been received about vandalism of furniture belonging to a former Chhatra League leader at the house of a senior Awami League leader in Goalando, Rajbari.
The victim, former President of Goalanda Upazila Awami League Nazirul Islam Dulu, has filed a written complaint in this regard at the police station.
The accused is ABM Baten Mondal (40), son of Md. Korban Mondal, a resident of Nilu Sheikh Para, Ward No. 4 of the municipality. He is the former president of Goalanda Upazila Chhatra League.
Locally and according to the police station complaint, there is a dispute over the land purchased by the defendant next to the newly built Goalando Restaurant next to the Goalando Super Shop, a business establishment of the plaintiff Nazirul Islam Dulu's son Nazimul Islam at Goalanda Bus Stand. As a result of the dispute, the defendant ABM Baten appeared at the plaintiff's house on Friday at around 11 am and started looking for the plaintiff's son Nazimul Islam Britet. At one stage of the search, an argument broke out with the plaintiff. At one stage of the argument, the defendant vandalized the furniture, chairs and tables on his balcony. At that time, when the people around came running after the victim's screams, the defendant fled from there.
In this regard, the victim Nazirul Islam Dulu said, "My son has a previous dispute with the accused regarding land. Based on that information, the accused came to my house and tried to beat me when he could not find my son. I closed the door in fear. Taking this opportunity, the accused broke the furniture including chairs, tables, flower pots and other things on the balcony of my house. At this time, the people around came running to everyone's screams and the accused left. In this situation, I filed a complaint with the police station, thinking about the safety of me and my family.
In this regard, the accused ABM Baten Mandal said on his mobile phone, "I have not committed any such incident. They are falsely harassing me in my name. Moreover, Dudu uncle is like my father, we have a good relationship with him. I don't know why they are doing this in my name."
Regarding the complaint, Goalando Ghat Police Station OC Mohammad Rakibul Islam said, "I have received a written complaint at the police station regarding the above incident. The truth of the incident will be verified and further steps will be taken."
