Allegations of attempted murder by throwing housewife into canal in Kalapara

An attempt to murder has been made by tying her face and throwing her into a canal in Kalapara, Patuakhali. The woman was rescued from the canal in an unconscious state at 9 am on Tuesday and admitted to the hospital by her husband Badal Hawlader and his father's family members. Earlier, the incident took place in the early hours of the morning in Chalitabunia village of Champapur union of the upazila.
Rubina Akhter, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital, said that for some time now, there has been a dispute between her husband and her father-in-law Shahid Hawladar, along with her brother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle-in-law over family matters. Yesterday evening, her uncle-in-law Monir threatened to kill her husband. In addition, she and her husband also blamed her for any issue. This morning, she went out of the house to eat Sehri and perform ablution for prayers. At that time, 3 to 4 people tied her face from behind, forcibly lifted her up, threw her into the canal and tried to drown her. As a result, she lost consciousness.
Kalapara Police Station OC Md. Rabiul Islam said, "A written complaint has been received in this incident. Further legal action is being taken."
