The 24th Finance Committee meeting of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) was held on Wednesday at the Syndicate Room with Major General SM Asadul Haque, ndc, psc, GOC 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Bogra Area in the chair.

The minutes of the 23rd Finance Committee meeting were reviewed and approved in the meeting. Important decisions were taken including the appointment of external observers for the fiscal year 2024-25, renovation of the playground, and installation of Wi-Fi facilities in the academic building.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Brigadier General Md. Mizanuzzaman, Colonel Admin of Area Headquarters Bogra, Colonel Jobayer Ahmed, PSC, Coordinating Officer of Army Welfare Trust (Education Division), Colonel Gazi Md. Khalid Hossain, PSC (Retd.), Treasurer of BAUET, Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, PSC (Retd.), Dean of Faculty of Science and Humanities, Prof Dr. Md. Sajjad Hossain, Dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Principal of Qadirabad Cantonment Sapper College, Md. Touhidul Islam, and Acting Director (Finance and Accounts) of BAUET, Md. Selim Reza, ACMA.

After the meeting, Area Commander Bogra and GOC 11 Infantry Division visited the classrooms and labs. Later, they planted a sapling of a kath-alam tree in the premises of the administrative building. Deans of all faculties, heads of departments, teaching staff and officials of the university were present at the time.
