World Diabetes Day celebrated in Brahmanbaria

The World Diabetes Day was celebrated in Brahmanbaria. On the occasion of the day, a procession and discussion meeting was held on Thursday morning.
In the morning, on the initiative of Brahmanbaria Diabetic Association, a colorful procession left from the District Commissioner's office and after circling various roads, it ended at the office of Kautli Diabetic Association.
Later, a seminar titled “Diabetes Wellness Be Our Commitment” was held in the hall of the association.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam spoke as the chief guest. President of Brahmanbaria Diabetic Association, veteran lawyer Advocate Mintu Bhowmik presided over the function and moderated by journalist Gaurang Debnath Apu, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Md. Iqbal Hossain, Civil Surgeon Md. Noman Mia, Deputy Director of District Social Services Office Mohammad Abdul Qayyum, Vice President of the association were the special guests. Advocate Habibullah and General Secretary Kazi Kamal Uddin. The joint general secretary of the association M. Omar Farooq gave a welcome speech.
Founder member of the association and former president of Brahmanbaria Press Club Mohammad Arju also spoke on it.In the discussion meeting, the speakers urged everyone to walk regularly, exercise and moderate their diet to stay free from diabetes.
