Workshop held in Barishal on updating Prevention and Protection of Domestic Violence Act-2010

A workshop on updating the Domestic Violence Prevention and Protection Act, 2010 was held on Tuesday at 9:30 am at the Deputy Commissioner's office Conference Room organized by the Directorate of Women Affairs.
Additional Secretary, Planning, Development and Statistics, Directorate of Women and Children Affairs Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan was the chief guest on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Barishal Mohammad Delwar Hossain presided over the event.
Special guests were Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Barisal Lusikant Hajong, Technical Officer UNFPA Dhaka Rumana Parveen and officials of public and private institutions. Power point presentation was presented at the beginning followed by open discussion where the guests highlighted various important issues under Prevention and Protection of Domestic Violence Act, 2010.
