Anti-discrimination Student Movement held a huge protest in Raipur of Lakshmipur on Tuesday at Martyr Osman Gani Square of the upazila.

Earlier on Monday night, student representative Abdul Motaleb said in a post on the social media Facebook that tearing down the banner of Martyr Osman Gani square means insulting our martyrs. The students entered the field at the time fixed on that post. The entire city of Raipur became agitated with the slogan "I will not let my brother's blood go in vain".

It is learnt that before the fall of the Hasina government on August 4, Osman lost his life in Lakshmipur's top terrorist AKM Salahuddin Tipu. On the day of his death, students changed the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Chatter in Raipur Upazila to Shaheed Osman Gani Chattar

Within a few days of naming, the people of Raipur pulled a banner with the picture of Martyr Osman. Recently last Sunday (October 21) some miscreants tore that banner late at night. The students claim that the ghosts of Awami League have done this incident.

The demand for the trial of the dictator Hasina's party Awami League and its leaders and activists was also expressed in this rally. At the beginning of the rally, anti-discrimination students took out a huge procession from Martyr Square to Raipur bus stand.

Rakib Hossain, one of the student representatives, said in the speech at the rally, "We want justice for the brutality of Sheikh Hasina and her friends." Our brothers have been killed. Even after the murder, the perpetrators of Awami League did not stop. To erase the name of Martyr Osman Gani of Raipur, he tore the nameplate of his name. We protested against it.

Student representative Abdul Motaleb said, we want justice for the murderers. I want justice for injustice. Awami League should be banned.

Moreover, the students also demanded the resignation of President Shahabuddin in the rally.
