University student drowns in Rupganj

A student of a private university named Lakshak (24) went down to bathe in the pond of Murapara Zamindar's house in Rupganj, Narayanganj.
The accident took place in the pond of the zamindar's house in Murapara area of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
The name of the deceased student is not known. He is the son of Abdul Wahid, a resident of Khilkhet Kuratali Parvpara area of the capital. And Ahsan Ulla is a third year student at University of Science and Technology.
According to the eyewitness sources, Lakshak and his seven friends came to visit the Murapara zamindar house of the upazila. A few people went to the pool of the zamindar's house to take a bath to get relief from the heavy fire.
At the end of the bath, submerge in relaxing water. Later, his friends reported to the fire service after searching for a long time. Before the arrival of the diving team of the fire service, the local Chhatra League leader brought the people of Machum area and recovered his body.
Rupganj Thana Chhatra League general secretary Sheikh Farid Bhuia Machum said, I got news that a boy drowned in the water. We rescued the body with local people before the divers arrived.
Rupganj police inspector Aliulla said, a young man drowned in the pond of the landlord's house to take a bath. Later the locals recovered his body. The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
