Those who win in Nalitabari Upazila Parishad elections

Haji Mosharraf Hossain has won the post of chairman in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur district in the second phase of the 6th upazila parishad election of the second phase. Sheikh Farid won the post of Vice Chairman and Ashura Begum won the post of Female Vice Chairman.
On Tuesday (May 21) night in the upazila election office room, the upazila election officer and assistant returning officer Elisha announced the result after counting the votes.
Haji Mosharraf Hossain (Horse) won the post of chairman by getting 61 thousand 796 votes. His nearest rival candidate Md. Mokchedur Rahman Lebu (Pineapple) got 39 thousand 807 votes. Sheikh Farid (Tioboil) won the post of Vice Chairman by getting 39 thousand 738 votes. His nearest rival candidate Mehdi Hasan Rajan (Cashma) got 33 thousand 25 votes.
Ashura Begum (Kals) won the post of female vice chairman by getting 68 thousand 851 votes. His nearest rival Nahelika Dibra (football) got 14 thousand 258 votes.
Voting started from 8 am on Wednesday in 83 centers of the upazila, which continued till 4 pm. However, the presence of women voters in all the centers was surprising and no untoward incident took place in the polling stations.
