Students of primary schools in Louhajang get fruit saplings

 

 Munshiganj (South) Correspondent

A total of 3,000 fruit saplings have been distributed among students of 10 primary schools in Haldia Union under Louhajang Upazila of Munshiganj. 

Besides,  165 students of Satgharia Government Primary School received not only saplings but also school uniforms. The distribution was funded by Dutch Dairy Limited.

The event was organized by Dutch Dairy Limited on Thursday afternoon at the Satgharia playground in Haldia Union. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Nesar Uddin attended as the chief guest. In his speech, he said, "The quality of education does not improve through infrastructure alone. It improves through the sincerity of teaching. Unfortunately, there is currently a lack of sincerity among teachers in the education sector."

He also compared primary school students to saplings and said, “Just as a sapling bears fruit when nurtured, we can expect good results from students if they are cared for properly.” He urged all attending teachers and guardians to give extra care to their young children, not just in studies but in all aspects of life.

The event was presided over by Md. Zillur Rahman Ripon Mridha, Managing Director of Khalilur Rahman Ideal High School. The program was moderated by Al Yusuf Azad Chanchal Molla, Member Secretary of the Convening Committee of Haldia Union BNP. A welcome speech was delivered by Md. Jasim Molla Poltu.

Md. Rafiqul Islam, Head Teacher of Haldia Government High School; local UP member Rubel Ahmed Rumel; Md. Habib Molla; Mukul Begum, Head Teacher of Satgharia Government Primary School; along with head teachers of various schools, guardians, young students, and local dignitaries were present.
