Salatul 'Istiskar' prayer in Goalando for rain

To get relief from the scorching heat, Salatul 'Istiskar' prayers and special prayers for rain have been held at Goalando in Rajbari.
On Wednesday (April 24) at 10 a.m., the prayer was held at the Al-Jamia Nizamiya Arabia Qaumi Madrasa ground in Goalando town area. Madrasa teachers and students of the upazila participated in the prayers under the leadership of Maulana Aminul Islam.
A few Muslims who participated in the prayer said that public life has been disrupted due to the intense heat for several consecutive days. Hardworking people are not able to go out to earn a living due to the intense sun. Due to lack of rain, crops are about to be destroyed. For this reason, two rakat prayers and special prayers are performed in the court of Allah asking for rain.
Assistant Professor of Al-Jamia Nizamia Arabia Qawmi Madrasah. Shamsul Huda said, two rakat istiska prayers are performed to get relief from the intense heat. Basically it is Sunnati period. This prayer is like Eid prayer. Khutba is read after prayer. Then prayers are prayed to God for rain.
Meanwhile, Imam of Upazila Model Mosque and General Secretary of Municipal Imam Committee, Mufti Azam Ahmad said, due to severe drought, there has been heatstroke in the society. As a result, the environment is affected. Not only that, due to intense heat, educational institutions have been declared closed across the country. To get rid of it, we performed special prayers.
