RRSP demands pure water, cancellation of NESCO prepaid meters, price control in Rajshahi

Rajshahi Raksha Sangram Parishad (RRSP) a large social organization of the northern region, has held a human chain program for various demands including stopping the supply of dirty and smelly water in Rajshahi Wasa, guaranteeing safe and clean water, controlling commodity prices. The program was held at Saheb Bazar zero point of the city for an hour from 10 am on Saturday.
On due time Leaders of various professional organizations of Rajshahi participated in the program. It is said from the Human Chan program that the water supplied by Rajshahi Wasa to the city residents is extremely dangerous. Recently, coli form bacteria have been found in WASA water, which is extremely dangerous and harmful to the human body. But the abnormal price has been increased without increasing the quality of water.
Demanding a suicidal decision to increase water prices in WASA, strict warnings were issued to immediately supply clean water and keep water prices at a tolerable level. At this time, WASA was given an ultimatum to determine the price of water by next January by public hearing.
From the same program, Nesco was warned that in the name of electricity service, Nesco is looting money without the knowledge of electricity consumers. From the human chain program, cancellation of NESCO prepaid meters, stop collection of physical bills, guarantee of uninterrupted electricity supply and stop harassment of customers, and stop NESCO irregularities and corruption were demanded. Speakers said customers will use the meter as they wish.
In this case, no meter assigned by Nesco can be placed on the customer's neck. The speakers said that Nesco is fixing the bill as it wants without reading the meter. Therefore, there is an urgent demand to bring the electricity meter and electricity bill to a reasonable level by holding a public hearing.

Speakers said that the holy month of Ramadan is coming, before that consumer goods should be kept within the purchasing power of people.
