
Robi holds 29th AGM, declares 15% cash dividend

Mobile network operator Robi Axiata PLC held its 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka.
The AGM was attended by Thayaparan Sangarapillai, Chairman of the Robi Board; Board Directors Vivek Sood and Nik Rizal Kamil; Independent Director Nasir Uddin Ahmed; Acting CEO and CFO M. Riyaaz Rasheed; and Robi’s Company Secretary and Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer, Shahed Alam.
Addressing the AGM, Chairman Thayaparan Sangarapillai said, “The year 2024 was a challenging one for various reasons. I am pleased that despite these challenges, Robi achieved commendable financial success. Prudent cost management enabled us to secure record profits. We also continued investing in our network throughout the year, which further strengthened customer trust in our brand.”
He reaffirmed Robi’s commitment to delivering world-class, high-quality technological services to its users, and emphasized the company’s focus on contributing meaningfully to the progress of both customers and society. “Our commitment to corporate governance remains unwavering. It is this governance framework that enables us to play a meaningful role in driving the country’s digital economy,” he said.
In 2024, Robi’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 1.50. The company declared a 15 percent cash dividend for its shareholders during the period.
