RAB arrested a drug dealer in Rangpur

RAB has arrested a drug dealer in Rangpur with 213 grams of heroin.
RAB-13 Rangpur Assistant Director (Media) Flight Lt. Mahmud Bashir Ahmed said in a press release on Friday that an expedition team of RAB-13, Rangpur conducted an operation in the Almannagar railway station area of Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Police Station on Thursday, July 7 on the basis of secret information.
A drug dealer named Safiqul Islam (32) was arrested with 213 grams of heroin.The arrested drug dealer Safiqul is the son of Fazlu Rahman of Kalma village in Tanore upazila of Rajshahi district.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed to his involvement in the heroin business. A covert investigation is underway against other drug traffickers involved. RAB-13 filed a regular drug case with the Railway Police Station of Lalmonirhat District on behalf of Rangpur.
The accused has been handed over to the concerned police station for taking legal action against him.
