Quota reform movement: Students, police clash at JU

Students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) and police clashed on the campus Wednesday afternoon over the demonstrator’s movement demanding quota reformation in government jobs.
Both sides took position in the Shaheed Minar area before the clash erupted.
The police lobbed sound grenades and tear gas shells to disperse the students while the latter pelted brick chips at the law enforcers.
The clash was underway till the filing of this report at 5:45pm.
A tense situation was prevailing on the campus.
