
Press Council Chairman exchanges views with journalists in Shyamnagar

Justice A K M Abdul Hakim, Chairman of the Bangladesh Press Council, visited the Shyamnagar Upazila Press Club in Satkhira and exchanged views with journalists on Friday afternoon.
He urged journalists to work within the law without causing division. Speakers at the meeting included Md. Abdus Sabur, Secretary (Deputy Secretary) of the Bangladesh Press Council, and Istiaq Ahmed Apu, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the Satkhira District Commissioner's Office. The meeting was presided over and opened with a welcome speech by Samiul Azam Monir, President of the Shyamnagar Upazila Press Club and Assistant Professor.
The session was moderated by Sheikh Afzalur Rahman, a journalist of the Press Club. Speakers included Ranjit Barman, Executive Member of Shyamnagar Upazila Press Club; Gazi Al Imran, former President of Reporters Club; Abdul Halim, President of Upakul Press Club; Hosain Bin Aftab, member of Shyamnagar Press Club; Mashum Billya, Secretary of Sundarban Press Club; and Nurunnobi, President of Simanta Press Club.
