Nilphamari District Students Welfare Association has been formed to highlight the history and tradition of its own district Nilphamari. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) of Gopalganj has now formed a new committee of that organization. Shawon Hasnat, a student of the department of political science of the academic year 2019-20 has been appointed as the president of the committee. And Manik Ali, a student of History Department 2019-20 academic year has been given the responsibility as General Secretary.

The new committee was approved by former president Mamun and general secretary Sabbir on Monday (June 10).

Besides, 12 student advisers and 6 teacher advisers approved the committee.

It is known that the newly-elected committee has 17 members. Apart from the president and the general secretary, the other members of the committee are the vice-president. Ashraful Islam and Belal Abedin. Md. Ripon Islam and Deepak Roy were elected as joint editor. Besides, the other members of the committee are the organizational secretary Sharif Hossain, co-organizing secretary John Roy, finance secretary Shahjalal Mandal, Office and Publicity Secretary Muhtasin Fuad, Action Editor Dhiman Roy, Education Affairs Editor Kamruzzaman Sohail, Cultural Affairs Editor Limon Roy Chanchal, Student Affairs Editor Asmaul Husna Barshi.

Besides, Rakibul Islam Rana, Mahafuza Mim and Siam were elected as effective members of the committee.

Shaun Hasnat in the President's speech said, traditionally, Nilphamari is a historic and popular district. A celebration of history and tradition in my district. The birthplace of many nobles of the country is also in my district. I am grateful to all concerned for electing me as the President of Student Welfare Association of this district. He said, my district is far from Gopalganj. Many students face many problems while coming to get admission here. So we created the organization. Hope we will move ahead with any kind of problem of the students of the district.

In the speech of the general secretary Manik Ali said, "It is a privilege for me to get the responsibility of Nilphamari Chhatra Kalyan Samiti." I will try to stand by the students of my district in any kind of danger. We will try to ensure that they do not face any kind of danger while coming from Nilphamari to Gopalganj.
