The Bangladesh Young Column Writers’ Forum, Jagannath University chapter, has announced its executive committee for the 2024-25 term.

Abdul Kader Nagib, a student from the Department of Islamic History and Culture, has been appointed as the President, while Rakibul Islam from the Department of Chemistry will serve as the General Secretary.

This information was revealed in an official statement issued on Monday by Amjad Hossain Hridoy, Central President of the Bangladesh Young Column Writers’ Forum, and Imran Uddin, Central General Secretary.

The notice instructs the newly elected President and General Secretary to form the full committee within seven working days and submit it to the central office.

Abdul Kader Nagib, the newly elected President, expressed his joy, stating, "It is both an honor and a responsibility to lead the Young Column Writers’ Forum. I will do my utmost to maintain the platform's success at Jagannath University. With collective effort and cooperation, I hope we can foster a group of skilled and creative writers who will play a significant role in supporting each other."

General Secretary Rakibul Islam conveyed his gratitude to the Central Executive Committee for appointing him, saying, "I am deeply thankful for this opportunity. My aim is to advance the JnU chapter of the Bangladesh Young Column Writers’ Forum alongside the youth of the university."

Founded on July 23, 2018, with the motto "Let Hidden Talents Flourish Through Writing," the Bangladesh Young Column Writers’ Forum mentors young writers, assists with publication in newspapers, and organizes writing-related meetings, seminars, and workshops.
