Two groups BRUR coordinators clash over access to conference room

BRUR Correspondent

Begum Rokeya University Rangpur (BRUR) students got into a dispute over entry into the conference room for a meeting with journalists. The two groups of university student movement coordinators clashed for quite some time on Wednesday.

Mohammad Shamsur Rahman Sumon (Students Department of Bangla ) is one of those who played an active role in the movement from the beginning. Those who have mainly played an active role in the movement have sacrificed. They certainly deserve respect. I think they are basically coordinators.

Those so-called public representatives will not take any responsibility if they behave autocratically. But basically those coordinators who make sacrifices remain responsible. So this issue cannot be avoided by active coordinators of Tyagi movement.

The so-called representatives of the people expressed the spirit of autocracy. Joy, the main activist of the anti-discrimination movement, said that this is the hateful politics of the so-called public representatives. They are busy asserting themselves. But we coordinated the movement from start to finish, risking our lives. As soon as they took charge of the VC sir, they did a horrible thing by arguing with us for secret meetings.

Kaushar Ahmed (GDS) students of the department and active in the movement, when our delegation was formed, it was made clear that their representation expired after the Vice-Chancellor assumed charge. Why did the so-called representative show dictatorial attitude even after the Vice-Chancellor Sir took charge and why those who played an active role during the original movement were ignored. Why are they not allowed to enter? Everyone including the journalists were first stopped by the so-called public representatives, but later two journalists were allowed to enter, but ordinary students and those who played an active role in the movement were not allowed to enter.

After shaking hands with ordinary student-journalists, the so-called representatives let the two journalists into the conference room. In the meantime, ordinary students and some key anti-discrimination student movement coordinators played an active role in lobbying them to enter.
