Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) Prothom Alo Bondhushava (Friends' Society) has successfully conducted the tree plantation program at the Faculty and Officers' Point premises on Wednesday, says a press release.

The Vice-Chancellor of BAUET, Brigadier General Md. Mizanuzzaman, inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest by planting a medicinal tree.

The Chief Guest said, “Prothom Alo is continuously doing great work across the country. I am glad to know that their social organization, Bondhushava, is encouraging our students to engage in positive actions. Trees are humanity’s greatest friends, and their importance is immeasurable. Those who love trees have kind hearts.” He expressed his gratitude to Prothom Alo Bondhushava for gifting the valuable trees to BAUET.

Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain (Retd.), Treasurer, Lieutenant Colonel KFA Sohel (Retd.), Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean, Faculty of the Science and Humanities, Prof Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Law, Bondhushava's Chief Advisor, Md. Hamidur Rahman, Associate Professor of the English Department and Director of IQAC along with department heads and student members of the club were present.

The event was made successful through the hard work of BAUET Bondhushava President Md. Nafis Sadnan, General Secretary Sadman Ahmed, and others, including Utshob Roy, Saad, Moumi, Farhan, and Hridita. It is mentionable that Bondhushava’s National Executive Committee (BRAC) provided 200 saplings, including fruit, forest, and medicinal trees, for plantation within the university campus.
