Motorcycle rider dies after being hit by truck in Juri

A motorcycle rider named Abdus Samad (22) died after being hit by a truck in Juri upazila of Moulvibazar.
The incident took place in front of Muktadir Girls High School of the upazila around 11:30 am on Tuesday morning. In this incident, the driver of the truck was arrested by Juri police station.
The deceased Samad is the son of Abdur Rashid of Jaychandi Union of Kulaura Upazila. Samad lived in Juri Upazila of West Bashirpur village of his uncle Md. Ghiyas Uddin's house.
According to local sources, the young man riding a motorcycle collided with a truck in front of Muktadir Girls High School of the upazila. He died on the spot.
Later the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Abdus Samad's father Abdur Rashid works as a tailor at Inzad Ali Market in Bhabaniganj Bazar of Juri Upazila. It is known that the deceased Samad lived in his various houses in Bachirpur.
Upazila health complex officer Dr. Samarjit Singh said that the deceased youth died on the spot.
Humayun Kobir, OC (Investigation) of Juri Police Station, said that a case has been registered in the case of the death of a young man in a road accident. Besides arresting the driver involved in the incident, the body has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem.
