Jagannath University (JnU) has undergone a significant reshuffle in its administrative body, particularly within the Vice-Chancellor’s office. New appointments have been made in key positions, including the Registrar, Proctor, and Vice-Chancellor’s office.

A notice issued today, signed by the university’s Registrar, Professor Dr. Md. Sheikh Gias Uddin, confirmed these changes.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Tazammol Hoque from the Islamic Studies Department has been appointed as the new Proctor, while Associate Professor Dr. K.A.M. Rifat Hasan from the Management Department has taken over as the Director of Student Welfare. Additionally, Professor Dr. Sabina Sharmin from the Social Work Department has been assigned the role of Provost. All three appointments are effective for the next two years, with the appointees receiving all the entitlements and benefits per university regulations.

In addition to these appointments, the roles of 12 administrative officials have been reassigned. Deputy Registrar Syed Faruk Hossain has moved from the Vice-Chancellor's office to the Registrar’s office, and Md. Al Helal Uddin has been transferred from the Vice-Chancellor’s office to the Research Cell. Mohammad Mansur Alam will now serve in the Vice-Chancellor’s office after being transferred from the Transport Pool, while Mohammad Jamal Hossain has been shifted from the Research Cell to the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

Other notable changes include Apurba Kumar Saha moving from the Registrar’s office to the Transport Pool, Mohammad Imran Hossain being transferred from the Vice-Chancellor’s office to the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, and Mohammad Anwar Hossain taking up the role of PS to the Vice-Chancellor after being transferred from the Registrar’s office.

Additionally, Assistant Registrar Md. Enamul Haque has moved from the Social Science Department to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Arts. S.M. Enamul Haque has been reassigned from the Dean’s Office to the Registrar's Personal Section, while Md. Moynal Haque has been transferred from the Department of Accounting and Information Systems to the Sculpture Department. Roksana Afroze Riya has moved from the Registrar’s office to the Department of Philosophy, and Section Officer (Grade-1) Israt Jahan has been transferred from the Registrar’s office to the Department of Sociology.
